Pemberley - Wavy Border

Moving on to quilting the wavy border of the Pemberley quilt.  I get a little bet of excitement each time I move to the next border on the quilt.  After this one, will be the half Dresden plate border, the one in the corner was quite a challenge.

Today I am on a trip to Maryville, Tennessee to attend the funeral service of a dear friend' mother.  So very hard to accept when a mother passes. Linda's mom lived to be 93 and had a very happy fulfilling life, loved and cherished by her daughters and son.  She will be greatly missed.  She was also a quilter and I enjoyed visiting with her and listening as she shared the stories behind some of her quilts.

Your quilting is so pretty -- there's just nothing like hand quilting on a beautiful quilt! Sorry for the funeral -- hopefully remembering the good times made things a little easier.

I like that you show the back of the quilt as that is where you can really see the quilting designs. All quite nice.

Your Pemberley is lovely. Also the quilting you are doing. I'm just learning how to keep those back stitches looking good. I'm sure your friend's mother was remembered as the wonderful woman it sounds like she was.
