December Friendship Blocks

Its that time of the month again, when my friends Carol and Cheryl and I swap friendship blocks.

Carol was singing I'll Be Home for Christmas with this pretty house block that she machine appliqued. Looks like an English cottage to me - and a very lovely one!

Then the every stylish Cheryl came up with the cute pocketbook blocks to match the shoes she gave us back in June. Hmmmm...is there a dress in my future?
In the Spirit of Christmas, I did a Christmas Star block. This is actually just the center of a Christmas Star, and I like it better set on point. I am so tempted to make a full size quilt with this block.

Those are darling blocks! I hope there is a dress in the future to go with the stylish pink and black shoes and purse. OMGosh! I see a blogging friend has commented here before me! I love Thimbleanna...I won a fun giveaway from her!!! She knits caterpillers, just ask her! LOL!;)
Anyway, I bloghopped over here from Linda's blog (Living4quilting)where you left a comment on her blog about your mom tatting and your brother's tatting and his magazine ad! I thought that was neat that he still gets tatted items sent to him. I love the online tatting community! It's so friendly and international, LOL! I hope you come visit my blog if you do like tatting! :)

Teresa, I'm popping by belatedly to say thanks for the well wishes on my hand...as you say it could have been worse. I'm doing progressively well and hopefully stitches will be out on Monday.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
It's been great getting to know you a little this year. God Bless.
hugs
Robyn xx

What a nice idea to swap friendship blocks. The house blocks does look like an English cottage. My little quilting group did swaps one year. During your birthday month, you were to receive a themed block from each one in the group. Worked out pretty well.
