Thank you and Thank you again

Isn't this a beautiful quilt rack? I was so surprised when I got home from a meeting a couple evenings ago to find that my neighbor, Marty, had brought this by the house and given it to me. He makes furniture items with that beautiful natural wood.

And here is a picture of my new windmill wall quilt on the rack. They look like they were made for each other, don't you think?

Thank you so very much, Marty!

I also received this cute charm pack and scissor fob from Kathy over at Kathy's Quilts. Check out her blog at http://kathysquilts.blogspot.com

I have been working on my New York Beauty blocks and am liking this freezer paper paper-piecing technique. Since you don't actually sew on the paper, you can use the patterns over and over. Would you believe I have made all these blocks with the same paper foundation piece and I am still using them!

Thanks Jane Godshall for teaching this great technique!

Happy Stitchin,

Teresa

The rack is beautiful, with, and even without, the quilt. I don't know how paper piecing works without the paper (or with it, for that matter, since I work by hand< but your New York Beauty is just lovely.

Love the rustic rack. The quilt displayed looks like it belongs there when it is not being loved on!

I'd like to know more about the freezer paper method for the NYB. Is it on your blog somewhere? That is lovely!

Seems you have some really generous friends! Your New York Beauty will be such a pretty finish. But so much work! Good for you to be tackling such a time-consuming project. I hope you're enjoying yourself.

Awesome quilt stand! I will have to show it to my dad, who has been making some neat quilt racks lately by using his lathe.
