Ice Day!

We had a beautiful ice fall yesterday and last night. This morning the trees looked beautiful with the sun shining through the ice - just like glass trees. I must have a hundred or more pictures of trees like this over the years, but they still just leave me in awe of the beauty of nature. Here is my baby girl Ellen(she's 24) getting in some sledding.
I spent my time cleaning, sewing and napping - now this I could get used to! I finished up the Gail Pan Christmas Wish stitchery. I have not quite decided how I will used these yet, but I am thinking they would make a pretty garland with brass bells hanging inbetween them. I also did some work on my Heart and Home wall hanging. I think the red border around the heart is too much - need to work on that. Maybe trim it down and use the same off white blocks to border a smaller red border...what do you think?
And last...but not least...I am having a GIVE-AWAY, just because I want to. I found these great OTT lights at Tuesday Morning. They are 9 inches high and perfect for taking with you to a friends house on Bee Night. I took the picture with my table top light in the background so you can get an idea of how big they are. I got one for me and one for YOU! So leave me a comment so I know who YOU are, and I will draw a name on Sunday, February 7. My international blogging buddies are very welcome to enter the drawing too!
If you follow my blog, but don't have a blog and/or can't comment, then just send me an email to let me know you dropped by. My email is jqd@comporium.net. I will enter you in the drawing. Those with "no-reply" comments or no way for me to contact you, I will have to take your name off the list, and that is just sad. So, please send me an email if you are one of those folks.
Happy Stitchin!

Hi Teresa,
Your pictures are great. I know Ellen had a lot of fun in the snow.
I think you might be right about the white on your heart quilt. It looks good, anyway.
I would love to have an Ott lite so please include me in your drawing.

You can never have too many Ott lights when you stich -- whether by hand or machine. What a nice giveaway.

P.S. I'm also having a giveaway on my blog. Don't forget to enter, as I know you read my blog regularly and leave such nice notes. I wouldn't want you to miss out.

Hugs! :o)

Always fun to see what sewing you've been up to Teresa. Enjoyed your SC snow pics too, but I think your daughter may need a bigger sled, hee-hee. Snow brings out the kid in all of us.
I haven't seen the mini Ott lights but I bet it does the trick, I'd like to find out.
Have a great week!

I'm all with your daughter on the sledding - I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun! I think I had more fun than the kids! lol!

And an Ott-light giveaway - fantastic!! I've never actually owned a real Ott-light. Plenty of imitations, but not the real thing, so this would be a real treat! I have just the spot for it too, right next to me here in the living room:)

I slept in late this morning. Church called on the telephone tree last night to say they canceled today's services. I missed the pretty ice on the trees. I hate to admit how late I slept so I won't tell. No, I won't. But could you enter me in the contest anyway?

Please enter my name in the drawing. I could use a new light. My old one is falling down and won't stay lit. Thanks for sharing.

Ooh, I'd LOVE to win one of these.

Even if I don't win, you are a dear to be so thoughtful and generous to share with your readers.

Hugs

What a great giveaway! (You can't enter me though because I'm on a giveaway diet.) Can't wait to see what you do with those cute Gail Pan blocks!

I also love ice covered trees we don't get them in Utah but loved them when we lived in Oregon. Thanks for the chance at the Ott Light.

I see you did not get out in the snow. Smart girl!!!! I looked out many times. That is about as close as I want to get. I worked on my sewing room. I wish my shelves were up. I could have gotten a lot more stuff off the floor. But I do have a space for the Ott Light. Please put my name in the drawing. Cheryl Hingle
