Timber.................

I have been doing some sewing, but nothing much to report on. Almost finished the quilting on my French braid, almost done with my redwork block, almost done with my Fall handquilting, and almost done with preparing kits for my club meeting on Saturday. But I will tell you what is done - that's the life of this beautiful maple tree. I was so sorry to see it go down, but its roots invaded our drain line and we had to do something or we were going to have a swamp in the back yard. So timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....down she goes. Timothy had a ring side seat from the upstairs porch - he was so excited about the bull dozier.

I bet that was cool for your grandson to watch

Aw, that's too bad that the tree had to go but that's better than having a swamp in the yard. Maybe you can plant a new tree to replace it somewhere else in the yard and your grandson can watch it grow!

Often a total bummer to take down trees. Feels sad but it has to happen.

Oh, so sad! I hate it when trees have to come down, but they sure can put their roots in the wrong place, can't they?

Sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do. I'd rather lose a tree than a septic system!

Timothy is just precious, boys just love big equipment! I'm sorry about that gorgeous tree, how sad and frustrating at the same time. At least now you know there are no roots in the drain lines though, is there a shallow root tree that could take it's place, maybe?

I'd like to take down a couple of trees in my back yard but it's so expensive - we have way too many trees! blessings, marlene
