Today, my granddaughter, Adeline, turns 5 years old. I made her a big girl quilt, and she blessed me so much by saying "Its the most beautiful quilt in the world!" when she opened it up. She is such a sweet caring little girl and I am so fortunate to have her as my granddaughter. (I have 7 grandsons and 6 granddaughters :) )

Oh my gosh! You have lots of grandies, and BOTH genders. Lucky you. It's wonderful to know how much she appreciates your efforts. No doubt this will be special for her for many years to come. Way to go!
Since I made my grandkids single bed size baby quilts, they are usually teenagers when I get around to the "Big" girl/boy quilts. By then, they can pick a little, the color or pattern they like ... making it either easier or harder, depending. When Ben selected purple and lime green, those were the two colors I had least of in my stash and that kid is about six and a half feet tall.
