I would like to say thank you to all who read my blog, whether you leave a comment or not. I do have a counter and just out of curiosity I sometimes count the number of times a specific post is read, and it usually close to 150 times.
Its fun to share my joy of quilting and to read about yours. I receive inspiration and learn new skills from all I read, plus I have come to know many of you has friends from around our globe. You have offered me encouragment when things just were not going well and many times have made me feel so good when complimenting my efforts.
So to say thanks, I am offering this pair of Gingher Embroidery Scissors. I have a pair that a close friend gave me and they are my all time favorite of my scissors. I wish I could present each of you with a pair, but unfortunately my bank does not tolerate deficit spending. All you have to do is leave a comment that says Hi, and anything else you care to say and your name is in the drawing. If you can not leave a comment, then just send me an email at jqd@comporium.net to let me know you came by. I will select a name on Sunday, June 28.
Please do not announce this gift on your blog - let's just keep it between us. Please do comment or email me, even if you have never done so before - just so I know you came by.
Note: Some of you nice ladies are leaving comments but declining to be in the drawing because you already have these scissors, sooooooo...I am putting you in the drawing anyway because I appreciate your friendship. If your name is drawn, you just never know what might be coming your way, and then I will draw again for the scissors. So please...do leave a comment, even if you do not need the scissors.
Many thanks,
Teresa

Hi Teresa, I don't need to be added to your drawing, but I wanted to comment that the Gingher box is great for pins. It is an all purpose gift!
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of you to give away a pair of ginghers. Your blog is a real bright spot in my day.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy dropping by your blog! Like you.....I have scissors in several of my bags. In fact, that pair you show is in my applique bag....so please do not add my name. I just wanted to tell you that I enjoy your blog.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic and generous giveaway! My friend gave me a pair of regular Gingher Sewing scissors and I just love them. They are nice and sharp. They just cut so beautifully. A smaller pair would be perfect for my hand work. Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be included - what a lovely prize. I have good scissors that I hide and rubbish scissors that anyone is welcome to use - lol !
ReplyDeleteGingher makes such nice scissors. I keep scissors in different locations. At the sewing machine. In a sewing basket. In a take-along project bag. You can't have too many.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and am subscribed to it on Bloglines. This is a lovely giveaway!! I too have these scissors already, BUT they are just so good I would love another pair. One for my sewing room in the basement and one for upstairs in my bedroom for the applique I do in bed while watching TV!!
ReplyDeleteLove scissors! Can never have enough. I have kept track of your blog for quite a while. When I find a good blog I always add it to my bloglist. Thanks for a great read!!!
ReplyDeleteJust dropping by to say hi. I have always enjoyed your blog and your great quilts, plus your friendship along the way.
ReplyDeleteI would be honored to be added to your drawing, what a generous way to say thank you!
Scissors are the most important tool a quilter has. My children does know not to use my best scissors, and I'm laughing every time the ask which scissor to take.
ReplyDeleteThis little scissor is new to me and I would love to try this one and maybe get a new favorite scissor.
I am a reader and love your blog. Now unlike some of the others, I do not have these scissors and would love to be part of the giveaway. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa,
ReplyDeleteYou gorgeous thing, what a lovely generous gift!!
I'm popping in to say 'Hi' but please don't enter me in your scissors draw either as I would feel greedy... I purchased my very own pair of Gingher embroid. scissors at the quilt show just the week before last.
Good luck to the lucky winner...these are wonderful scissors! Enjoy!!
hugs
Robyn xx

ReplyDeleteI like to have scissors right where I can put my hand on them at any given time, so I never have enough.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be in it to win it, thanks for the chance.
I'm a firm believer that you can never have enough scissors! Please count me in!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to reading your blog and what you've been up to lately, although I don't always leave a comment. I don't need to be entered into the drawing, just wanted you to know I was out there enjoying your friendship through our respective blogs. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHI there. What a sweet gift to share!

Hey -- you can never have too many scissors, can you? Even if you already have these -- they're wonderful scissors -- what a nice giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI also have a pair of these scissors and I consider them one of my most important tools. Please don't include me in the drawing, but I did want to say thank you for being such a generous blogger!
ReplyDeleteHello, Teresa
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late in commenting because I have been on vacation. I have your blog on my reader so I won't miss anything.
I'm a tool gal and very protective of my sewing scissors --just ask my adult kids about growing up under the threat of dire consequences should they dare to use mom's fabric scissors for anything else. :-)
Thank you for offering this excellent pair of scissors. Whoever receives them will enjoy them.
This is a very generous giveaway! Thanks you!!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'll admit it, My name is Granny Lyn, and I am a "Lurker" on your blog,,,there,,,I feel better now!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to be picked for your drawing, but I also love to read your blog...thanks for sharing!
What a nice giveaway! I would love to win scissors since mine need sharpening. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOne can never have too many pair of scissors...I enjoy your blog and have only been lurking until now...
ReplyDeleteTeresa,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog, thanks for all the great ideas. I don't think you can have enough scissors....isn't it like fabric? There is no such thing as too much fabric....anyway that's my motto.
Shelia
I don't know who the other Cathi is but it isn't me. I love, love, love my embroidery scissors. They are great for um......embroidery....but also for clipping curves. They get in so nice and tight. Don't put me in the contest for anything. Just wanted to say hi and that I am back home but had to do wash and grocery shopping last night after work which is why I wasn't at the church last night. (what a long sentence)
ReplyDeleteI too love scissors and even though I have many types tucked in many places I still find that I don't have a pair handy at times. I enjoy reading your blog! Please put my name in the drawing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new reader of your blog. I honestly feel that nobody can have too many scissors, or patterns, or books, or fabrics. (and I live by my words--I have excessive amounts of all) It all goes with the territory of quilting. Our tools + our toys + our ideas = fun and relaxation.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift you're offering. Enter me, please.
I've seen these scissors before but don't have a pair so please include me in the drawing. I'm like you - scissors make our lives so much easier. I have two pair in my kitchen drawer, a pair on my desk, etc. And in my sewing stuff - the only pair I've ever bought that I didn't care for were the Fons and Porter kind for cutting rag quilts. They weren't sharp enough for the job. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteLove the scissors and I love the pin cushion idea. I have several of those lids myself so I'm happy to learn of a use for them. Please count me in for the scissors
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely giveaway! I enjoy seeing all of your projects with this blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a giveaway too - you should stop by and enter!
Thanks for the tip on Tuesday Mornings.
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE scissors.
Hello Teresa, so kind of you to offer a gift to say thank you....Teresa I would love to be in the draw for the scissors....my scissors are just about worn out and I am in need of a new one.............over the time I started blogging I have always enjoyed our correspondence.....hugs lyn
ReplyDeleteHey, add my name to your contest. Thanks for the Tuesday Morning lead!
ReplyDeleteCarol from Rock Hill
Good Morning! This is the first time I've read your blog. I actually was looking for info on the same scissor set you bought at Tuesday Morning. I debated about buying them but really needed a decent pair of scissors for a project. I am traveling and all my good stuff is at home. I was prepared to be disappointed but WOW...what a great buy!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I would love a pair of scissors. I am fairly new to quilting and am totally into building my stuff of fabrics and notions. Thanks!
I can understand your scissor fetish my dear old dad had one for knives never passed a shop selling knives without buying another one. I might add he wasn't a violent man just loved a good sharp knife.
ReplyDeleteOh I would Love to be entered! Crossing my fingers :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea. I have a link to your blog on mine. Check it out at oregonquilt.blogspot.com
