y Christmas Beauty quilt tonight - spent about 1 h
our quilting , and another 1 and a half unquilting, with still more unquilting to go. As you can see...its a huge quilt and a regular sewing machine. I had planned to quilt around each of the points, but that is not going to happen. Any of you quilters out there that quilt on regular sewing machines have any suggestions? HELP!

Is it totally basted? How? You could quilt in sections. I have a few books but this gives you an idea. I would use the Sue Nichols method. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_quilting/article/0,,HGTV_3298_1507325,00.html
Are you free motion quilting or trying to turn the entire thing. You may need to free motion around all of the points in order to not have to turn, turn, turn the quilt. Option 3, send it out to be quilted LOL!!!! Hope these suggestions help.
As the first comment says free motion would work best and then you can work in quadrants. It looks like you have a nice size table to support the quilt so that shouldn't be an issue.
That's a beauty! Hum.... I machine quilt on a DSM. I work with queen size, one half at a time. Not sure what you are trying to do. I will say that it is possible to quilt this beauty on a dsm. Perhaps you need to look at it for a while to get some inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
